The Partnership
Paddington Waterside Partnership was launched, as Paddington Regeneration Partnership, in 1998 to facilitate the creation of a new location at Paddington. The Partnership's work focuses on maximising the benefits of regeneration for surrounding communities, creating a lasting legacy. We assist new companies, employees and residents to relate to their wider setting and assist neighbouring and surrounding communities to access all that Paddington Waterside has to offer.
Richard Banks of European Land is the Partnership's Chairman. The staff team is headed up by Kay Buxton, Chief Executive.
The Partnership performs a number of distinct functions:
- Managing a co-ordinated approach to development, providing a regular mechanism for exchange of development information and best practice through its Developer Forum.
- Producing composite promotional material about all the developments at Paddington and the location itself through publications, guides and our website; acting as a single point of contact and delivery for all development enquiries and study visits.
- Providing a link between the developments/developers and the local community, including the voluntary and community sector, local schools and local amenity societies, through our Company and Community Forum.
- Operating the Paddington First recruitment service to match local jobseekers with the opportunities created through the development of Paddington Waterside, complemented by the city-wide Westminster Works programme which supports companies to develop employability programmes.
- Through Time for Paddington assisting companies to deliver their corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities at a local level, for example, corporate community involvement initiatives, employee volunteering, mentoring programmes, school workshops, donations and fundraising events.
- Delivering wider projects and services on behalf of Paddington Business Improvement District (BID) to create a more attractive, safer, greener and better marketed Paddington.
